YES!! It is the first spinoff series from the original Cascadia Fallen Trilogy. I've re-explained the disasters from the perspectives of people in other locations in America, all the way back at day 1.

The trilogy is...well... a trilogy. Duh. Blades of Grass may go to 7 or 8 books. I have a lot of characters and potential for them. As I finish book 5 in BOG, I may start the next spinoff series, called Conner's Mission. [If you've read the CF trilogy, then you remember that at the very end, he has determined to go after the loose thread...!] I also have a vision to write a non-fiction (or a few); and dabble in a different genre. But never fear! I will not "George RR Martin" you!

This is a fun question, and not fast to answer. You sure you want to hear? In Venom Spear, other than the disasters and references to events happening by new characters, the only actual tie to the CF story is Darren. He is the husband of a side character in the trilogy. Oops. And President Jeremiah Allen, of course! Dragon Unleashed, one of four main characters, Carmen, is the same Carmen who was prominent in Tahoma's Hammer (and made small appearances in the other two books.)
As I write the rest, small or major appearances will be made by Marie (the Navy shipyard commanding officer); Nick the sniper; Conner the former Ranger (thereby tying BOG to the other spinoff series that is coming); a helicopter pilot named Rebekah; Josh and Eli from the gun club; several marines from the submarine base; and maybe a few others.
